Total Stations Name

Design & Technology (D&T) is crucial in schools for fostering creativity and innovation, allowing students to express unique solutions to real-world problems. It develops practical skills with tools and technology, essential for future careers. D&T enhances problem-solving and critical thinking abilities by challenging students to design, evaluate, and refine projects.

POWER MACHINES/ WOODCRAFT STATION

Circular Saw

A circular saw or a buzz saw, is a power-saw using a toothed or abrasive disc or blade to cut different materials using a rotary motion spinning around an arbor.

Jigsaw

A jigsaw is a saw which uses a reciprocating blade to cut irregular curves, such as stenciled designs, in wood, metal, or other materials.

Router

The router is a power tool with a flat base and a rotating blade extending past the base. The spindle may be driven by an electric motor or by a pneumatic motor. It routs an area in hard material, such as wood or plastic.

Table Saw

A table saw (also known as a sawbench or bench saw in England) is a woodworking tool, consisting of a circular saw blade, mounted on an arbor, that is driven by an electric motor (directly, by belt, by cable, or by gears).

Band Saw

A bandsaw (also written band saw) is a power saw with a long, sharp blade consisting of a continuous band of toothed metal stretched between two or more wheels to cut material.

Power Drill

A drill is a tool used for making round holes or driving fasteners. It is fitted with a bit, either a drill or driver chuck.

Random Orbital Sander

A random orbital sander is a hand-held power tool which sands in a random-orbit action. That is, in constant irregular overlapping circles.

Mini Wood Lathe

A lathe is a machine tool that rotates a workpiece about an axis of rotation to perform various operations such as cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling
